[HIGH FIVE] We gave a High Five to Isabella Bosco, a Cycle and Rebound Instructor at Mōtiv Fitness and Yoga Teacher in Austin, Texas.
Wellcomm: Where do you workout?
Isabella Bosco: You’ll find me teaching cycle and rebound at Mōtiv Fitness and flowing in open grassy spaces all over Austin. Keep an eye out for my recurring free 7:15AM morning hillside of Barton Springs yoga class launching September 25th! Check my Instagram for updates and info on that. On my own time, I am yoga flowing, strength training, walking the trail, and recovering with sauna and cold plunge. Recovery and rest are also a huge part of my routine.
WC: What does wellness mean to you?
IB: Wellness to me is the ebb and flow: working and pushing to muscle failure, not just fatigue, and then honoring full recovery. The mind-body connection is massive for me no matter how we’re moving. Movement has been medicine for me since I was a highly competitive athlete at a young age. Work smarter, not always harder!
WC: What are your wellness goals over the next twelve months?
IB: To teach more intentional, choreography-intricate cycle classes, teach more yoga, and see where this yoga retreat dream can take me. I want to be right there with my riders and yogis. It’s easy to just move and go through the motions, so I’m excited to keep encouraging my students and myself to be intentional in every aspect on a bike, mat, trampoline, and even outside of these sacred hours of movement in our daily lives and relationships.
WC: Who are some people who inspire you, motivate you, or keep you accountable when it comes to your wellness?
IB: My teammates and owners at Mōtiv: Amanda O’Brien, Patty Hatton, and Matthew Meiners. My fellow 200hr and 300hr YTT trainees. Impressive cycle girls Julia Perry Oldenburg and Cortney Conrado and everyone building their own fitness businesses and brands here in Austin: Morgan O’Hare of Present Practice, Leah Cullis who led my YTT, Fabiola Divins opening Rival ATX, Ryan Smith and the team at YTX, all of Studio Three especially Carla Jian, Josh Bush, Andrea Wright, Cassidy Rhodes, and Kathleen Weiler. My boyfriend, my family, and my friends who support my teaching journey and me overall endlessly.
WC: What advice would you share with someone looking to change their wellness routine?
IB: Take it one step at a time: small habits are attainable and make change! Consistent over constant. And just jump in and go for it!

a group workout
a pop-up fitness event
a race or charity run
a pickleball tournament
a cycling ride
a recovery event or
anything else fitness-related
These events will be shared with all Wellcomm email subscribers, but submissions from former High Fives who are subscribers are prioritized, ideally for events they’re organizing, leading, or personally involved with.
We’ll feature one event per week, so spots are limited. We’re grateful for our High Fives and are excited to share these exclusive ongoing updates from the best of the DMV!
