[EVENTS RETURN] We’re bringing back DMV event coverage! But rather than share a long list, we’re curating one event per email and calling it our Hit Event. Keep reading to see what we picked this week, how we choose our Hit Events, and the experiences you can expect from Wellcomm going forward.

A MESSAGE FROM PIQUE:

The Matcha That Ruined All Other Matcha

As winter softens into spring, many of us crave energy that feels clean and steady. Not the jittery spike-and-crash kind.

That’s why I keep coming back to Sun Goddess Matcha by Pique. It’s easily the best matcha I’ve tasted.

In a market full of dull, bitter powders, this ceremonial-grade matcha stands apart for both flavor and purity. Crafted by Japanese tea masters and shaded 35% longer, it’s naturally rich in antioxidants and L-theanine to support calm focus and balanced energy.

The result is vibrant, smooth matcha that carries you through brighter mornings and fuller days. No spikes. No crashes. Just sustained energy that works with your body.

If you’re ready for a better morning ritual, try Sun Goddess Matcha here. 🌿🍵

[HIGH FIVE] We gave a High Five to Brittney Yarbrough, a Fitness Instructor at Life Time South Lamar, a Pilates Instructor at El Studio, and a Pilates Instructor at Soma Reform in Austin, TX.

Wellcomm: Where do you workout?

Brittney Yarbrough: You’ll usually find me in a Pilates class at El Studio and Soma Reform and balancing it out with strength training and recovery at Life Time South Lamar.

WC: What does wellness mean to you?

BY: Wellness is feeling aligned in both body and mind. It’s not about perfection: it’s about building a strong, supportive relationship with yourself, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s choosing habits that help you feel grounded, energized, and connected to who you are.

WC: What are your wellness goals over the next twelve months?

BY: Over the next year, my focus is on deepening consistency, both in my movement practice and in how I take care of myself outside of it. I want to continue building strength, refining my teaching, and creating more intentional space for rest and recovery. I’m also really focused on growing a community that empowers women to feel strong and confident in their bodies.

WC: Who are some people who inspire you, motivate you, or keep you accountable when it comes to your wellness?

BY: I’m so grateful to be surrounded by inspiring and incredible wellness leaders: Gen Camacho, Founder of El Studio; Elli Kmiec, Founder of Soma Reform; Adele Verrengia, Founder of Method Pilates and Studio Pulse; Sherilyn Hardy, the coolest instructor ever; Hayley Brooks, Master Instructor for Peak Pilates; and Anna Gehrke, Studio Manager of Life Time South Lamar.

WC: What advice would you share with someone looking to change their wellness routine?

BY: Start simple and stay consistent. You don’t need to overhaul your entire life overnight: small, intentional changes add up over time. Focus on how you feel, not just how things look, and choose practices that you can realistically stick with. Give yourself patience and grace. Wellness is something you build, not something you rush.
